When people think of mentoring, they think of Big Brothers Big Sisters. That's because we've worked to develop a youth mentoring program that works. Our experienced approach to recruiting, screening, matching and supporting our mentoring relationships has resulted in thousands of lasting relationships, and helped change the lives of young people across the country.
Big Brothers and Big Sisters are mentors to boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 17 years. Majority of our Littles are living in single-parent homes, foster homes, with grandparents, or with a guardian other than their birth parent(s). However, all children who need and want a mentor are eligible to enroll for Big Brothers Big Sisters programs.
