Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mohave County is unique to other Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies. The Interagency Council is the sponsoring organization which means that Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mohave County is a program of the Interagency Council. The Interagency Council holds the 501(c)(3) or not-for-profit license in order for Big Brothers Big Sisters programs to operate. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mohave County is accountable to the Interagency Council Board of Directors as well as Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
As a result of having a sponsoring organization, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mohave County has established an Advisory Board whose function is fundraising and community relations.
